SMART NETPHONE MANIA

We all know that Smart Communications Inc. finally released their version of Android internet mobile device called Netphone. Netphone aka ZTE Blade 701was offered for Prepaid and Postpaid user and it was selling like pancake in the market due to it’s sleek design and a 600 MHz ARM 11 processor that run some HTC mobile phone. Some of my friends purchased the phone and are quite satisfied with its performance. But off course there are some who have lived their life with Nokia device and find it not so user friendly but later on adopt and decided to go with the flow. Who cares, its android mania in the office already.

I don’t personally have this phone but due to my years of experience using android phone (thanks to my HTC Magic), some friends approach me and ask me to navigate their phone and install common apps at the same time. Apps commonly used by a typical android user. What intrigues me is its  Adreno 200 GPU, Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset which differs from any other android phone since this was offered for a fair price of P9, 900.00 but basically drop its price to P4,999.00. In order for me to know how it works with games, I’ve tried installing Leo’s RC Simulator which basically consumes more memory on your phone due to the nature of the game. It runs pretty well and perform almost the same when I’ve tried running this game with HTC Desire S that uses 1 GHz Scorpion processor, Adreno 205 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon. I have tried other HD games like Dungeon Hunter, GT Racing, Need for Speed Shift and Modern Combat: Sandstorm and they all works fine. Although there are some instance wherein graphics is not that smooth for particular game like Sandstorm but with how you run, shoot and use free look (just like playing Counter Strike), the game works fast and did not encounter any lag.

There are so many things you can do with this phone especially when you like surfing the net on a 3.5 inches screen. A friend of mine used to work part time for a data entry job. This site requires copying and pasting links and other information from one page to another. Netphone handle this task with ease. He could easily navigate from one page to another and track his earning from his Paypal account.

When it comes to weak side, I might say there are some or maybe a lot more to discover. All gadgets come with limitation. Too bad I don’t have much time to explore it because I don’t have one yet. Love to have one someday.
