COSMIC RAYS FROM MARS TO ENTER EARTH TONIGHT

COSMIC RAYS FROM MARS TO ENTER EARTH TONIGHT

SMS or text messages has been circulating all over the Philippines saying that from 10:30 PM to 3:00 AM, COSMIC RAYS will be entering earth from MARS. Everyone was told to turn off their mobile phone and stay away from it as much as possible specially when sleeping because there are quite DANGEROUS RAYS. It was rumored that the news was from BBC WORLD NEWSLIVE. As far as PAGASA is concern, it is a compete hoax. Most people are already storming the net just to clarify if this news really come from the above mentioned resources. To give you an idea about COSMIC RAYS, you may read answers below from Yahoo about four (4) years ago.

Yahoo Answers:

Cosmic rays  don't come from Mars

Cosmic rays are very high speed particles which fly through our Milky-Way and plow Earth's Atmosphere causing a small shower of very tiny, very high speed particles. No one knows for certain what the exact origins or Cosmic rays are, but a few ideas have been put forth:

- Supernovae
- The Disks around black holes
- The strong magnetic fields that course through our galaxy

Whatever the case may be, they probably don't affect your cell phone's battery a whole heck of a lot. However, they might, from time to time, affect the transmission of signals from one phone to another- especially if those signals are relayed to an orbiting telecommunications satellite. If that satellite is struck by a cosmic ray in just the right place to fry some vital electronic component, your call might be affected.
